Lisa’s session was the perfect example of why boudoir does not have to fit into one little box.
Her theme was literally “Anything But Lingerie,” and she understood the assignment.
She brought in a cowgirl look, a Harley Davidson-inspired look, and made the whole session feel fun, bold, and completely her. And she killed it.
I think sometimes people hear “boudoir” and immediately assume they have to show up in lace, a bodysuit, or something super revealing. You absolutely can, but you definitely do not have to.
There are no set parameters or rules for what your boudoir session has to look like.
Want to wear cowboy boots and a hat? Do it.
Want to throw on a Harley shirt and make it a little edgy? Absolutely.
Want to bring your partner’s shirt, a jersey, leather, an oversized tee, a dress, or something that just makes you feel good? Bring it.
Your session can look however you want it to look.
That is honestly part of the fun for me too. I love when somebody comes in with an idea that is a little different because we get to take it and turn it into something that still feels sexy and confident without forcing it into the typical boudoir mold.
And speaking of dressing up and doing something a little different…
We’re having a Halloween Girls’ Night Out at Bare Studio on October 24.
It’s a 21+ night with an open bar, professional Halloween portraits, light bites, games, a costume contest, and a chance to just come hang out and have some fun.
You can come in a full costume, wear something dark and cute, or keep it simple. There are no hard rules there either.
So if you’ve been wanting an excuse to dress up, take some cute pictures, and have a night out with the girls, this is it.
