Lingerie Out of Your Comfort Zone? Here’s What to Wear Instead

Every time you think of the word “boudoir”, I can already tell that it’s likely to be women in lingerie. However, I want to introduce you to other items that you can wear besides lingerie to your next Boudoir session.

I get it, not everyone will be a lingerie gal-shoot, most of the time, I’m not, and I’m the photographer! Here, we will go over some other pieces to consider for your boudoir session that will still make you feel sexy and beautiful without making you feel uncomfortable.

Robes

Robes are not only versatile in sessions, but they range in different colors, patterns, and textures.  Additionally, they can be simple, such as a black or navy, they can be lacy, and they can be super luxurious, like the ones we have in the studio! These robes can stay on for your session, and we can also get fun shots with the robe highlighting various parts of your body.  You can reveal as little or as much as you like with these fun pieces!

Sports Jerseys

Sports jerseys are an overlooked piece of attire that can be worn for your Boudoir session. Also, did you know that they have custom-made jerseys for women? You can do the traditional, or the more form-fitting version. You’ll still look super hot, but, you will be more covered up. Jersey’s go great with fishnet stockings, or general cotton thigh highs. Plus, if you’re gifting us to a certain somebody, and they have a favorite sports team, you can always use this to incorporate one of their favorite things! Sports!  I’m sure they wouldn’t mind some gorgeous photos of their woman showcasing their favorite jersey numbers!

Bodysuits

Bodysuits cover the midsection completely, And can come with support in all the right places. They’re very flattering, extremely form-fitting, and allow for you to look sexy without feeling self-conscious about your tummy. Not to mention that they’re super stretchy, which allows for you to do those more challenging poses in the studio!

Oversized Sweaters

Ladies, this is my personal favorite! I’m more of a sweater and fishnets girl more than anything! Baggy sweaters make for the perfect addition to your boudoir session.   They cover your midsection, but the shoulders are playful as they slide down to show a little cleavage. I’m semi-modest at the end of the day, so this is the piece that I fall back on. Now remember, with this particular piece, try not to get them too baggy, as we still want to see your HAWT figure!

We trust that you were able to gain some helpful insights from this post on what to wear if you’re not into lingerie. Be sure to take a look at our other blogs to get ready for your boudoir session!
