How to Prepare for a Boudoir Shoot, exactly?! Read these tips to be better equipped before walking into your photo session.
Now, for those of you who are doing this session for the first time, you’re probably looking at this like-there is no way I can pull this off!
Jitters before your shoot are normal! But don’t worry! You don’t need to be overly stressed when preparing for your boudoir shoot.
We have everything planned to ensure that your session is wonderful! And as long as you’ve kept up with the emails coming your way until your session date, you will hopefully feel just as confident that we’re going to have a great day!
Drink plenty of water the week before, and especially 3 days before your session. We want your skin to be glowing on camera, so be sure to ditch the soda for a few days.
Many people don’t realize that we do a good bit of moving around during the session, so make sure that you are getting a good stretch in before your session.
It’s not going to be overly complex, and I won’t push you beyond what you are actually capable of- but we will do some poses that require bending, arching or slight neck movement.
And please remember; if you have any medical conditions that may prevent you from doing certain poses, alert your photographer well in advance.
To continue to prepare for your boudoir shoot, remember the little things: Lotion up! ESPECIALLY THE FEET! The feet are one of the most overlooked parts of the body to moisturize during your session.
Although retouching is included in my services, we want to prevent the use of heavy photoshopping post-session.
If you choose to go all natural for this session, GO, GIRL! If you want to shave, I’m all for this too! It’s all about what makes you truly comfortable with your body.
This will be different for everyone. If you’re going to wax, be sure to do it 5 days before your session so we can avoid any bumps and redness on the day of your session.
