The Book Wall Boudoir Set!

A while back I saw a book lover’s themed portrait concept, and not long after that I came across a book wall design that instantly stuck with me. The moment I saw it, I knew I wanted to build my own version inside the studio.

Now…this was one of those sets where I had the vision before I had the instructions on how exactly to do it.

I went to Home Depot and ended up spending about an hour and a half with an associate who walked me step by step through how to build the frame structure. Once I understood the framework and materials, I went straight to work putting it together piece by piece.

I’ll be honest, it pushed me way outside my comfort zone a bit because building a wall?!? Making a backing/wood frame?! Can we say I’m just a girl?! But I trusted the process, and I am so glad I did because I absolutely love how it turned out!!

The finished set has so much texture and depth which I love. The layered pages, the dimension, the softness mixed with structure creates a space that feels intimate, and a bit cinematic!
