A Grown-Up’s Guide to Celebrating Halloween

Growing up, Halloween was like a ghost—often talked about but never really seen, at least not in my house. No costumes, no trick-or-treating, no spooky decor haunting our halls. While others reveled in the eerie excitement that comes with the month of October, my experience with Halloween was more like observing from a witch’s broomstick flying high above—close enough to see the fun butttt too far to experience personally.

Fast forward to the present, and things have taken a delightful turn. As an adult, I’ve found fun ways to dip my toes into the Halloween spirit, embracing the season with a lighter, goofier touch. It’s not about making up for lost time; it’s about creating new moments to enjoy!

To those who, like me, may have missed out on Halloween’s enchantments growing up, know this: it’s never too late to create your own traditions. It doesn’t have to be grand or elaborate; sometimes, the smallest gestures, the silliest costumes, are what bring the most joy.

I hope these “Boo-doir” photos inspire laughter and lightness, reminding us all that the spirit of Halloween is what you make of it. Here’s to finding joy in the goofy, the quirky, and the wonderfully whimsical aspects of life. Happy Halloween, everyone! Let’s make it un-boo-lievably fun. Hehehe.
