When Zariah came into the studio a few weeks ago, one of the first things I noticed about her was how naturally she moved. I remember asking if she danced because everything about the way she carried herself felt so intentional and expressive, and I immediately knew I wanted to incorporate that into her session somehow.
That’s one of my favorite parts about boudoir. I never want sessions to feel one size fits all. I love finding little pieces of who someone already is and weaving that into their images so the session feels personal to them instead of just “pretty photos.”
Zariah is also graduating, or may have just graduated, which makes this season of life even more exciting for her. I’ve only known her a short time, but I’m already incredibly proud of her. She’s kind, driven, creative, and brought such a beautiful energy into the studio. Being able to document people during moments like this, where they’re stepping into a new chapter of themselves, is something I never take for granted.
Her session ended up being such a perfect mix of softness, confidence, movement, and strength, and honestly, I think these images capture exactly who she is right now.
